My name is Dr. Juanita Albright, and I am running for Indiana State Senate to bring practical leadership, real-world experience, and steady judgment to the Statehouse.

I have lived in Senate District 31 for more than 20 years. Fishers is where my husband, Eric, and I raised our family, built our careers, and chose to serve our community.

I currently serve as President of the HSE School Board, one of the largest school districts in Indiana. In that role, I help oversee a complex organization and a significant budget, making decisions that affect thousands of students, families, and educators. This experience has taught me how to balance priorities, manage resources responsibly, and plan for both immediate needs and long-term success.

I am also a healthcare professional, and I have seen firsthand the challenges facing patients, families, and providers. Rising costs, insurance companies, and workforce shortages are issues that require practical, informed solutions. I understand that decisions made at the Statehouse directly impact the healthcare system and the people who rely on it.

I believe good leadership means listening, working collaboratively, and approaching challenges with common sense and experience. I am committed to fiscal responsibility, quality education, public safety, and policies that support working families and strong communities.

My life has been defined by service over self, and that is why I became a doctor, ran for the HSE School Board, and it is why I am now running for the Indiana Senate. I believe public service should be about thoughtful decision-making, accountability, and getting results for the people we serve.

I have lived in Senate District 31 for more than 20 years. Fishers is where my husband, Eric, and I raised our family, built our careers, and chose to serve our community.

While serving as President of the HSE School Board, I oversaw a complex organization with a budget of $340+ million, making decisions that affect thousands of students, families, and educators. This experience taught me how to balance priorities, manage resources responsibly, and plan for both immediate needs and long-term success.

I am also a healthcare professional, and I have seen firsthand the challenges facing patients, families, and providers. LOWERING INFLATION AND THE COST OF LIVING
Indiana families are facing higher costs for everyday necessities like groceries, gas, housing, and healthcare. I believe state leaders must remain focused on policies that support economic stability and help families plan for the future.

I support a balanced approach that encourages job growth, keeps taxes low and predictable, and ensures state spending is responsible. Smart budgeting and long-term planning help keep Indiana on a solid financial footing while allowing families to keep more of their hard-earned money.

I will work with fellow lawmakers to support policies that strengthen the economy and promote affordability for Hoosier families.

CHAMPIONING FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
As President of the HSE School Board, I have firsthand experience managing a large budget and making careful financial decisions. Every choice matters when you are responsible for making decisions using taxpayer dollars.

I will bring this same responsible, disciplined mindset to the Indiana Senate, working collaboratively to support sound budgeting and long-term financial stability for our state.

ADVOCATING FOR QUALITY EDUCATION
Strong schools are essential to strong communities and a strong future for Indiana. My work on the school board has given me a deep understanding of how education policy affects students, parents, and teachers.

I believe in maintaining high academic standards, supporting parents as partners in their children’s education, keeping classrooms safe and focused on learning, and using education funding wisely. During my term as President, HSE schools had the highest graduation rate in school history.

I will advocate for practical education policies that support student success, respect local decision-making, and prepare students for life after graduation. I will also promote high standards for our youth because they CAN and WILL meet and exceed them!

PROMOTING PUBLIC SAFETY
Our people should feel safe in their community. I support law enforcement and first responders and believe they deserve the tools and resources needed to do their jobs safely and effectively. I also believe in policies that hold offenders accountable while strengthening community safety efforts.

I will work with local leaders and state officials to support public safety solutions that keep Indiana communities strong and secure.

PROMOTING QUALITY AND AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE
Throughout my medical career, I have been especially committed to addressing the unique healthcare challenges older Hoosiers face, which is evident in my appointment by Mayor Scott Fadness to the Fishers Senior Center Committee. Listening to patients and helping them through their healthcare journey, whether that involves maintaining their current health, improving their quality of life, or even end-of-life care, is my priority.

In the State Senate, I will focus on promoting quality and affordable healthcare to our Hoosiers.

FIXING PROPERTY TAXES
Hoosiers spend their whole lives paying off their home. I will work to lower property taxes for our district and help our seniors stay in their homes as they age.

REPUBLICAN JUANITA ALBRIGHT ANNOUNCES RUN FOR INDIANA SENATE DISTRICT 31

Fishers Republican, Medical Doctor, and Current HSE School Board President Launches Campaign For State Senate

Fishers, Indiana: Hamilton Southeastern (HSE) School Board President and Republican Juanita Albright has officially announced her run for Indiana Senate District 31. Albright is running on a platform that focuses on lowering inflation and the high cost of living, championing fiscal responsibility, advocating for quality education, and promoting public safety. The Republican primary election will be held on May 5, 2026, and Albright is the only announced Republican candidate.

“My life has been defined by service over self, and that is why I became a doctor, ran for the HSE School Board, and it is why I am now running for the Indiana Senate. I have received an outpouring of support and encouragement already from people all over the district,” Albright said.

Dr. Juanita Albright grew up in Indiana, living in a rural community where education beyond high school was atypical. Despite the cultural differences and obstacles, Albright set out to obtain the highest education possible and set her sights on becoming a doctor by the time she was in the 7th grade.

Dr. Albright has practiced medicine and lived in Fishers for over 20 years, along with her husband, Eric, a pediatric pathologist. They have 3 children, all of whom graduated from Fishers High School and currently attend Taylor and IWU.

When asked why she is choosing to run for the Indiana Senate, Dr. Albright said, “We need a fresh voice in the state senate promoting fiscal responsibility and public safety. With my experience on the school board and decades in healthcare, I am used to tackling tough problems and finding creative solutions, and I plan to do the same at the statehouse.”
